Sanpete County -- Home Away from Home

Ephraim Canyon 2013

I would be lying if I told you I only had one home. Over the last year and a half, Sanpete County, and more specifically Ephraim, UT, has become my home away from home. I've attended Snow College for the past three semesters, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Not only is the campus and surroundings BEAUTIFUL, but I have just felt completely at home and comforted in the fact that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
Beautiful Campus
Campus 2012

I remember praying and praying about where to attend college. I was originally going to play basketball at another school, but it just didn't feel right. I had looked and thought about Snow, and went down for a visit with my dad over the summer after my senior year... Wow. Everything felt right. While walking around that campus, I knew that this was where I would be walking around in a matter of months.

The first little while, I was still trying to figure out why exactly I was here and had felt so strongly about Snow. It was good, classes were good, I really truly liked it... But WHY was I here in the middle of nowhere, Utah? Let me tell you why...
This temple is two minutes away.. I am going there someday! :)

...

Haha as much as that statement is true, that is not the only reason.. Let me REALLy tell you why...

If these pictures don't explain it all, I don't know what else does. The people that I have met the past year and a half have influenced me in such a way, that I do not know where I'd be without them. They have shaped the person  I am. I consider all of them life-long friends.
...

I know for a fact that If I wasn't placed with such amazing roommates both from this year and last year, I would not be where I am in the gospel. I admired and still admire their strength and amazing testimonies. I have learned so much from them. I turned my life around because of them. I got a temple recommend, received my patriarchal blessing, and have improved my personal scripture study. I was truly blessed. I know that they were my roommates for a reason.
...

Without alll of the girls and guys I met playing sports, I would go completely insane between work and school. Intramurals has literally kept me sane!
...

My crew from last year (Summer, Steph, Brandon, Bronson, Brendon, Ben, and Payton) was inseperable for months. We did crazy adventures, bonfires, dinners, and I love and miss them. (Many of them are on missions now).
...

I have also met a new friends this year and I am so glad I did. They are fun, crazy, and even more importantly, some of the greatest people I've ever been around..
...

Everyone in these pictures showed me how to make college enjoyable. I have never been surrounded by such amazing, kind, accepting, talented, spiritual, fun, hilarious and caring friends.

And last but not least, Polo has been the best thing I could ask for, and I am so glad I met him.  <3

I love Snow College. This past year and a half has strengthened my knowledge, my testimony, my friendships, my relationship with my Heavenly Father, my self-worth, my confidence, my relationships with my family, my character, and just my life in general. I have made so many memories that I will never forget. I am so thankful for Heavenly Father and his amazing plan for me. :)

I will be so sad to leave this winter, but I can't wait for my next adventure!

(I just wish I had the slightest clue what that next adventure will be .... ) Lol ;)
